This Life is Joy!

Dear Beloveds,

For the last month, while traveling throughout our beautiful country, my inner fountain of Joy has been flowing generously. Whether laughing with the grandkids on a nature walk, camping in Yellowstone, or exploring the lakes of Michigan, I felt a deep connection to that inner ray of Joy—humbling and elevating at the same time.

Out there, nothing stood in the way. I was able to meet Life—this precious, holy gift—with awareness, and Joy naturally bubbled up as the result.

There is a Sanskrit saying that, translated loosely into English, becomes: “Thou art God, and God enjoys being God.” We are we. I am me. And when we remove the obstacles—I’m too busy… judgment… confusion…—we allow ourselves to enjoy the unique, unrepeatable gift of our own being.

Until we gather on Sunday morning, I invite you to pause and notice what brings you Joy today.

As for me, I am connecting with beloveds, exploring new possibilities, planning a fun birthday surprise for my Beloved Tom, and savoring the warm sunshine on my skin.

How about you—how is Joy finding you today?

With love,

Rev. Karin
